Strike for the Homeless

You know what should happen?

the employees of some big company should all go on strike, in order to house the homeless... thats right, "we wont go back to work, until you fatcats in the big offices build some basic housing in our town, for those that are currently living on the streets."

dont you think that would be an interesting thing to see?

has anyone ever done anything like that? anyone know? I dont know...

and, Im saddened that it took me until I find myself inches away from homelessness to even think of this... "I should have done more when I had the chance", is now going through my head... so, how can I ever blame anyone for their own "what about me" thought!?

Don't blame yourself. It's part of the "justice is personal" phenomenon that's true for most of us--we tend to wait until things come close to us. So keep talking to people! We need a movement to provide homes for everyone and keep people in the homes they have. The homes exist already. It's a crime that anyone in the US is homeless.

Thanks Will...

Ill probably post more later on about the whys and wherefores - its not the typical story, and not really because of the economic turn we are all experiencing now- its a bit more about taking some risks (spiritually entrepreneurial, if you will) that suffered a betrayal of sorts, and yes, at the worst of times to find oneself in this position- as fortune would have it :)
